The Keil family shared a duplex on St. Paul’s West Side with the Lamers family in the 60’s. I’m pretty sure there were a dozen kids between us. Marguerite and I were great friends and spent a lot of time on the front porch or playing ball in the backyard, or in the street with a lookout for cars. I remember Edith singing (loudly, lol). Church songs, whatever was popular on the radio, or calling the kids home for dinner. She was a great lady, welcoming to everyone. She will be sorely missed.

Dearest condolences to Uncle Joe and the entire Lamers family. Bless Tante Ediths soul and to all the wonderful memories.
I met Edith about 12 years ago and once we got past that religion thing, we had a great relationship. I loved talking to her about family and her and Joe’s life together. Some of the stories were funny and some more serious. I will miss these talks. She treated me like family and will be forever in my heart. 💕
Edith( ie FiFi) was a great and faithful volunteer at Lakes Life-care Center..a pregnancy care center for women in difficult situations. Edith’s motherly experience was always a great asset.
Edith and Joe were at daily Mass at StPeters and we all miss seeing her there..and it just doesn’t seem right to see Joe there without her.
Our prayers are with Joe and their family.
