Russel James Rosenberger

February 27, 1955 ~ June 16, 2024
Age 69 of Columbus. Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather & Brother, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2024 after a long illness.
Russel was born on February 27, 1955 and raised in North Minneapolis. In his younger days he loved to hunt and fish. His greatest passion was growing a huge garden. He supplied the family with great vegetables in the summer.
After retiring from Minneapolis Washing & Stamping he discovered a new activity of going to Running Aces to watch the harness racing. He loved to go there on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
He just received his 28 year medallion from AA which he was very proud of as was his family.
Preceded in death by mother, Louise; father, Thomas, father-in-law, Ronald Rivard; sister-in-law, Paula Dean; beloved dog, Tobie.
Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia; daughters, Kelly, Melissa (Mike) Wieczorek; son, Matthew; grandchildren, Joshua (Tessa), Tyler (Alyssa), Dominique (Garon), Tatum; great-grandchildren, Weston, Taylor, Hayle, Violet; sisters, Maureen (Denny) Schmeichel, Gloria (Randy) Johnson, Jane Schlaeger; brother, Bill; mother-in-law, Evangeline Rivard; aunts, uncles, many nieces & nephews.
He is now in the loving arms of God and is at peace.
A celebration of Russel’s life 11 AM Saturday, June 29th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Roberts Family Funeral Home, Forest Lake.

Daddy, I miss you so much it hurts. I love you and I will see you again! All of us will try and keep your garden alive. One thing you didn’t pass down to your kids.
