Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. From a young age I was welcomed into the Kuskey family with open arms. Jim made it a point to take me under his wing as one of his own, continuing to coach both basketball and football every year until I reached junior high. I’m proud to be able to call such a kind, loving, and very stubborn man my grandpa.

    • Jim was a great next-door neighbor and friend. I visited often with him and Mary and I adored their Toby (Shinsu puppy). We enjoyed playing Bingo @ the American Legion together. He will be missed so much. God Bless him.

  2. I’m so sad to hear this news. I became friends with Joe in 2004ish and then met his amazing family. Jim and Mary created a strong family unit and I only hope their deep bond will keep them going.
    Love, Tara

  3. When our daughter Tracy married into the Kuskey family, it didn’t take long to see the love Jim had for his family. He was a true example of a “family man”and the best of the best. RIP Jim. You will be missed.

  5. Jim was a dedicated grandfather that went to the hockey games to watch and cheer on his granddaughters. Family was very important to Jim. He and his wife Mary loved to travel. They have been to Italy and Hawaii to name a couple. He was a good man to be around loved his laughter. Rest Well. Love you Jim! Dan and Debi Brown

  9. Mary, Joe and Angie – my heart is so sad. Jim was one of the kindest and most loving men I have known. I have so many memories that I will cherish forever. Family was everything to him. Sending my love and prayers.

  10. Mary, Angie, Joe and family….please know that we are sending you love and peace. Jim was an amazing person…always so positive…he will be missed!!

  11. I met Jim when I coached Joe in hockey for three years over 30 years ago and stayed close to Jim and family ever since. I will miss him dearly but hope to continue to meet with Joe and Mary often going forward. Jim was about six months younger than me so just such a shock that he is gone. I have used the Kuskey state high school hockey tournament tickets for the last 30 years so it kept us conversing and going out to eat. What a wonderful family including Mary’s Dad who we all called Grandpa who I noticed standing next to an outside rink watching a hockey practice in below zero weather. A real hockey family!!!

  12. I always looked forward to seeing (serving) both Jim and Mary at Bingo on Monday Nights at the VFW and had the pleasure of knowing him for the past 5 years
You will surely be missed Jim
Mary sending big hugs of comfort and prayers for you and your family at this difficult time.
    God Bless

    Joni (Your VFW Bingo Server)

  13. Rest in peace my friend. Brooke and I are sure gonna miss our chats on life and our kisses on the cheek good bye every 5 weeks!

  14. I worked at Amtrak, with Jim, for over 30 years. He was one of the good ones, a hard worker, considerate, and never had a bad word about anyone. I would come for my afternoon shift, and greet him as he was ready to leave, he’d always have a Polish quip to leave on “goopy pyanay?” (Look it up). And I’d always reply, “no you are”.
(I am Ukrainian) that would put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. My deepest condolences to the family. Godspeed, Jim

  15. We grieve the loss of James, a man of immense charisma and warmth. Through his passion for hockey or just watching his granddaughters play, he radiated an endearing spirit. He endeared himself to us with his infectious laughter, kindness and warm nature. His love for family was unyielding; reflected gracefully through Angie’s marriage to my son. A wise, adventurous soul whose legacy will continue to inspire us all. Let’s treasure each memory of our dearly loved James in our hearts forevermore.
