Elaine R. Splittstoesser

Age 80 formerly of Hill City. Loving Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma Sister, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2016. Elaine was raised in Saint Paul and was a 1954 graduate of Monroe High School. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Sam; siblings Sharon Hoff and Donald Kern. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Dawn), Katie (Jeff) Marx; grandchildren, Chad (Krissa), Robyn (Daniel) Sapp, Brian (Jeannie) Washburn; great-grandchildren, Hailey Washburn and Sam Splittstoesser; siblings, Richard Kern and Harland (Bev) Kern; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives friends. Memorial Service 11 AM Saturday, October 8th at Lakes Free Church, 29620 Olinda Trail, Lindstrom, with visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of service. Interment 2:30 PM Friday, October 14th at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
I always enjoyed Elaine coming to the bank. She gave me her favorite recipe for chow mein hot dish. My family loves it. I will miss her smiling face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
