Age 60 of Minneapolis. Loving Son, Brother Uncle, Died unexpectedly due to complications of a stroke on September 27, 2016. Michael graduated from Forest Lake Area High School in 1974. He was a dedicated employee of Xcel Energy for 33 years. Michael was an avid sports fan, took pride in his backyard, and was passionate about his neighborhood and the people in it. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Robert; brother, Richard; and aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Survived by his mother, Clarice; siblings, Mark and Susan (Terry) Brelje; niece and nephew, Dan and Andrea Brelje; uncle, John; aunts, Orphy and Bernice; and cousins, other relatives friends, including his neighborhood family and work family. A Celebration of Michaels Life 7 PM Thursday, October 6th at Roberts Family Life Celebration Home, 555 SW Centennial Dr., Forest Lake, with visitation beginning at 5 PM until the time of service.
I am saddened to learn this. I last saw Mike in high school, but I remember him well. A soft-spoken, good-natured guy liked by all. By the recent photo, he looks like the very same Mike that I knew and admired way back then. A life too short.
So sorry for your loss, we are thinking of you all during this difficult time. Mike was a great guy and will be missed.
