Bob served in Vietnam with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He served in the 2nd Platoon and was well respected by the men that he served with. As one of the NCO’s of the 2nd Platoon, I remember well. Bob was a man that you could count on when things got tough. Currahee Brother, you will be missed among our ranks!!
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Robert’s military Service to our nation.
I remember uncle Bob shooting hoops with me at mom and dads when I was just learning basketball. He gave some pointers on my jump shot.. He was always willing to talk sports and watch a football game at family events.
We will miss seeing him at the Dojo, it was always fun watching him give the kids a treat after class.
May I offer my sincere condolences. May your hearts find comfort in God’s Word where it states: “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) May your loved one awaken to a world where there will be peace, no sickness (Isaiah 33:24), and no more troubles (Revelation 21:4) throughout eternity (Psalm 37:29). May your hearts find comfort and hope in God’s Word, family, friends and good memories at this time. My deepest sympathy to you.
