Frances R. Edwards

Frances Ruth (Boyles) Edwards age 93 of Forest Lake and formerly of Sunland, California, died peacefully April 10, 2014 at Elder Haven Assisted Living in Forest Lake, Minnesota with her daughter at her side. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee R. Edwards; daughter, age 10, Sharon Tracey Edwards; and her parents, Homer and Jessie (Vinning) Boyles. Frances is survived by her daughter, Patty (David) Shepherd; niece, Barb (Boyles) Sommerfeld who cared for Frances for the last several years in Minnesota; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Mary Kate Pastel; sister-in-law, Bea Boyles; other family members and friends. Frances can be remembered as a hard worker who worked in many specialty clothing stores in California. Frances received her degree as a licensed practical nurse from Glendale Community Hospital in 1967. She always enjoyed caring for her cats at her home and enjoyed lots of beautiful flowers. A Celebration of Francess life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 1st in Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake, Minnesota with a gathering of her family and friends beginning at 1 PM until the time of the service.
