Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Elaine was sunshine on each Sunday morning at Immanuel. I haven’t known her for very long but once you met you were always special to her. Her smile and hug will be missed but not forgotten.

  2. It was nothing short of a privilege to know Elaine. I was lucky to have a wonderful last memory of her. My heart goes out to her family during such a difficult time and I hope there will be peace in knowing that she truly is in a better place now.

  3. Elaine and I went to lunch and Christmas shopping about mid-December 2013 at the outlet mall in North Branch and Shopko. We made the full circle at Shopko just browsing and near the end I said to her, you must be exhausted, because I’m tired. She just gave me her beaming smile and we kept on shopping. We had so much fun, talking about everything, laughing and shopping.

  4. We will always remember Elaine’s contagious smile and laughter. She was a gentle, loving soul. The love she had for her family and friends shined brightly. It is certain that although she has left her physical body, she will never be far from all whom she loved so dearly. Our deep condolences. Jim and Ginny

  5. Elaine and Steve are friends we have made up on LOW . Elaine had such a positive, fighting spirit dealing with her battle with that dreaded cancer. Elaine was a wonderful person to talk to, always mentioning her family. Steve, Nat and Kayla you have our deepest sympathy at this time. We are unable to attend Elaine’s service but please know you are all in our thoughts and daily prayers.

  6. Steve, Nate, Kayla, and family,

I know Elaine will always be with us:

    Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
    That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
    which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

    Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
    that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
    There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
    For an interval.
    Somewhere. Very near.
    Just around the corner.

    With much Love,

  7. Lake of the Woods 2012 when Erica entered the kids fishing tournament. We spent the whole afternoon visting and laughing.
