Dolores E. Lang

Incredible Wife, Beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Friend. Dolores Elaine (nee Flipp) Lang, age 85 of Forest Lake and formerly of St. Paul, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013, while surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by, parents, Anthony and Evelyn (Coates) Flipp, Jr. and sister, Joyce Gervais. Dolores is loved and will be deeply missed by her husband of 66 years, Harold M. Lang; seven children, Michael (Gayle) Lang, Barb (Bill) Reynolds, Jean (David) Swanson, Ken (Lori) Lang, Kurt (Jean) Lang, Jeffrey (Deb) Lang, Lisa (Kerry) Johnson; 11 grandchildren, Dawn (Nick) Krautkremer, Krista (Brad) Lange, Aaron Lang, Becky (Matt) Lindberg, Ryan Lang, Douglas Lang, Kevin (Emily) Lang, Kristine (Brent) Erickson, Laura Lang, Matthew (Megan) Johnson, and Elizabeth (Tad) Norris; great grandchildren, Grace, Emily, and James Krautkremer, Alana and Ava Lang, Taylor and Jacob Lindberg, and Finley Johnson; sister, Kathy (Jim) Frazier; brother-in-law, Donald Gervais; many other relatives and friends. Dolores can be remembered as an accomplished pianist and enjoyed singing in the church choirs and with her family. She served as Chaplain for the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 225 and and was very involved with the Submarine Veterans of WWII. She also volunteered in the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport Servicemans Center. Dolores worked as a Copy Desk Editor for the St. Paul Pioneer Press for 25 years. Along with her husband, she enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed her retirement! We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Birchwood HealthCare Center and Allina Hospice for their outstanding kindness and care to Dolores. A visitation will be held 4 - 8 PM Thursday, January 10th and continues 9-10 AM Friday, January 11th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Friday, January 11th at Church of St. Peter, 1250 So. Shore Dr., Forest Lake, MN. Inurnment will be held 2:05 PM, Friday, May 3, 2013 in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
Harold, please accept our condolences after learning of the death of Delores. May God bless you with His peace, comfort you with His everlasting arms, and heal your broken heart.
