What at great sports fan Lyle was. I know he enjoyed watching Shane and Zach in all the sports that they played. The best to him for his many years of life.
I was fortunate and privileged to have known Grandpa Anderson. He was one of a kind, truly. Best constructive criticism and feedback one could have. Always wanted to make thee best out of others around him. Too many shared memories. One that sticks in mind, coming to your home for thee Fourth’s of July. Words cannot describe the stories I’ve heard from you, being a WWII vet.
The best and most beautiful
Things in the world cannot
Can be seen, (heard, ) or even touched
They must be felt with the heart.
Dear Shirley and family.
I have such fond memories of Lyle during the years we worked together at the post office. He had a great sense of humor, too. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

On behalf of the Washington County Veterans Services office and myself my condolences to the Anderson family. I had the amazing opportunity to meet Lyle only two weeks ago. I met Lyle at his home to discuss some VA benefits he wanted some clarification on. I was able to answer his questions, but then we also had a long discussion about VA benefits and his military service. After my discussion with Lyle I was reminded why I enjoy my job of helping veterans, they are some of the best people! Although I was only able to know Lyle for a short time I quickly realized what an outstanding and wonderful man he was as well as a distinguished WWII veteran. I feel truly blessed having the privilege to have met Lyle.
Lyle was an outstanding father in law, He was a dedicated family man with so much love to give.I want to personally thank Lyle and Shirley for all the love they provided Shane and Zachary over the years. I will definitely miss our personal bond we had in the kitchen over the holidays. I am so honored to be his daughter-in-law.I will miss you my friend.
I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Anderson family. Lyle was a very special man. He was like a father to me and left a lasting impression that I will always cherish.
My prayers are with Shirley and the rest of Lyle’s family. Lyle is one of my first childhood memories at church. He was always a kind, gentle man. He will be missed!
On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225 we give thanks for Lyle’s military service to our nation.
