David E. Mattson

David E. Mattson, a Master Carpenter, age 73 of Forest Lake passed away February 28, 2012 surrounded by his family. David is survived by his significant other, Rita Jelinek; his sons, David P. (Jessica) Mattson and Jim (Julie) Mattson, step-sons, Steve (Wendy) Schroeder and Rob (Mindi) Schroeder and their mother, Karen Freed; other loved ones, Jay (Patty) Jelinek and Becky Jelinek (fianc, Dan Chernak); many grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sisters and special friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 3rd at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr. SW, Forest Lake, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10 AM.
Rest in peace, Dave. We will miss you at our Friday night dinners at the V. We will take care of Rita for you.
Uncle Dave was my favorite uncle. He was such a good and kind person. I don’t think I ever heard his voice raised in anger. We’ll miss you Dave say hi to Grandma and Grandpa and Dad!
