  1. Dear Family and Friends,
This message comes very late. It was every August of my childhood that my family went North to Tom’s Red and White Cabins. My Father was Principal Bass in the then Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, now known as Minnesota Orchestra. I learned how to fish, went across the lake to the former President Roosevelt’s abandoned mansion. I learned how to row a boat, road to the dump with Mr. Thom, learned about black bears and going down the lake for groceries with my Mother ðŸ’ now age 86. I was at two book fairs recently and forgive me as I could not believe any native Minnesotan would not know about Lake Roosevelt and this treasure of cabins. Don was kind and taught all of the children of this summer village things that I personally will never forget. Thank you and God Bless You xxx Constance Scheurer
