Steven "Steve" D. Erickson

May 11, 1947 ~ March 15, 2024
Age 76 of Forest Lake. Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on March 15, 2024.
Preceded in death by parents, Wendell & Delane; siblings, Marlin, Ronald, Karen Whiteneck.
Steve is survived and missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Carolyn; children, Sean, Shannon (Brian) Ingbretson. Forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Norman sister-in-law, Bonica; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Steve was a Union Carpenter member for 50 years. He was a charter member of the ‘Men’s Crisis Center Book Club' and the Ringmaster for the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association.) Steve was a member of the Elim Luther Church congregation for 50 years. An avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. Steve also enjoyed farming.
Steve loved his family fiercely, including his friends, whom he considered family. He had an innate ability to tell jokes and was a true comedian in spirit. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
Visitation 4-8 PM Friday, April 12th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, with a time of sharing at 6 PM. A celebration of Steve’s life service11 AM Saturday, April 13th with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Elim Lutheran Church, Scandia.
One heck of a man. Best fishing partner a guy could ever have..we’d tell jokes all day / weekend long. Allways calm even when having a bad day on the golf course. Taught me so much..rite up to the end..patience…till we meet again. Gonna be tuff without you…one last joke stevo..#9 haha if ya know yah know
I reme.ber Steve. He was a great guy. Always smiling and making someone’s day great. It is with sincere sympathy that I send this note. He was a wonderful wonderful person who will truly never be forgotten. God bless God bless his family and be with them always.
I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to have Steve visit when I was caring for my mom. Not only did she feel loved, but I did too. Carolyn, my heart goes out to you. I have such fond memories of your visits over the years. Much love to you.
Steve was absolutely one of Tang of the North favorite customers for many many years. Steve was one in 1 million. Fishing and golfing with Steve was always special and 4 o’clock was always happy hour….
