Sandra Irene Mathern
August 29, 1950 ~ January 22, 2024
Age 73 of Roseville, formerly of Forest Lake.
Loving mother, grandmother, and wife passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, from brain cancer on January 22, 2024.
Preceded in death by parents Reynold and Grace (Berggren) Erickson; brothers Roger Erickson and Rodney Erickson.
Survived by husband of 53 years, John; daughters Erin Mathern (Bradley Reichuber), Allison Mathern (Blake Ames), and Casey Mathern; grandson Fox; sisters-in-law Ellen Erickson and Donna Martin; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sandra’s life will be celebrated this summer, details forthcoming. Memorials preferred to Picket Fence Poodle Rescue (picketspoodles.com).

What a beautiful woman both inside and out. We were so lucky to have her in our lives loving us they way she did.
To know Sandra was to feel the love and comfort of a warm chocolate chip cookie. The Secret Forest. Endless generosity. Friday night Dinner and a Movie. Unparalleled Grace. A wicked wit and sense of humor. A Hostess that would make Ina Garten swoon. The Beauty Sandra embodied and created in this world will continue to echo throughout our lives.

It is with great sadness hearing today of Sandra’s passing. We were able share laughs and tears last year when we reconnected after many years. As teens we shared time at Skateland or area dances…as young adults she and John hosted me in Germany while they were stationed there. Her grace and hospitality always made me feel at ease and welcomed. Rest in peace sweet friend🙏👏💞
