David was born on December 19, 1964 in St. Paul, MN,
the son of Robert and Judith Bohnen.
David’s love in life started with his family and friends along with many other enjoyments. At the early age of 18, the adventures began, his love for being a truck driver, passed on by his father, continued on for over 38 years, traveling from one coast to another.
In his off times with family and friends, he loved cooking and get togethers; often called the “grill master.” His warm tender heart will be missed by so many.
Preceded in death by his step-son, Josh Childers; parents, Robert and Judith; father-in-law, Ronald Winterhalter; aunts, uncles & other relatives.
Survived by his wife of 16 years, Ann; children, Katherine (Hans) Simonson, Brett and Daniel; step-son, Jeremy Childers; grandchildren, Bailee, Keegan, and Sawyer; siblings, Richard (Brenda), Denise, Timothy (Cheryl); best friend, Kevin Westberg; aunt, Sandy Ellingson; mother-in-law, Rose Winterhalter; brothers-in-law, Erwin (LuAnn), William (Melissa); sister-in-law, Angela (Kevin Dick) Winterhalter; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1-4 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the American Legion, Delano, MN.
Today would be my big brothers birthday, with so many memories waying on our families hearts. We find strength along the way with comfort from our friends, family or just daily messages…for today, December 19th reads “we press on into an abundant life on earth, followed by an eternity with God”.
