Age 70 of Forest Lake. Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2021. Rod was a hardworking and innovative man. He developed his company Sunrise Packaging, Inc. in 1984; always finding ways to automate equipment and improve production. He remains well respected in the packaging and manufacturing community. Rod met his wife, Susan in 1997 and were married in 2003, which began a lifetime of love, joy and adventure. He was fun-loving and willing to explore new experiences as they started to check them off the bucket list. Rod especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, who were the light of his life. He loved barbecues and fish-frys with his family and cherished his friends - always leaving them all with a big good-bye bear hug. He will be remembered and carried in our hearts forever. Preceded in death by parents, Edward & Hattie; sister, Ursala Hennen; brothers-in-law, Leroy Goelz, Henry Frank; sister-in-law, Ann. Survived by devoted & loving wife, Susan; children, Robert (Tiffany Struntz), Brian (Krista), Kellie (Matt) Moen, Karianne (Jack) Lesch, Ryan Peloquin, Steve (Samantha) Peloquin; grandchildren, Austin, Tatem, Addyson, Nevaeh Moen, Greta Herdina-Manderscheid, Cade Moen, Brooks, Madden Peloquin, Beckham Peloquin; 12 siblings & their spouses; many nieces & nephews; Rod is also survived by the mother of Rod's 4 children, Deb Herdina and the extended family they share in the Serbus family. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday, November 12th with visitation one hour prior at Church of St. Peter, 1250 S. Shore Dr., Forest Lake.
