Dick was our hero and leader. He always led with Honesty. When the little guy had a problem and needed help you could count on him. I had a good friend who was about to lose his teachers license because of an unfortunate situation. He would lose part of his retirement pay and was devastated. Dick who was on the License State Board helped out in this issue. You could count on Dick and he would come through. My friend was very afraid and knew the outcome could be devastating. I assured him we had the right person to stand up for him and make sure he would be ok. Yes he was able to keep his License. Also his retirement pay in full. It was the same way as a supervisor for the Township. Government works slow and a lot of times not at all. Dick made sure to get through all the red tape and got it done. There are many things in this community that would have hurt the residents but Dick made sure we would be OK. We thank the Lord for his family and friendship over the years. May the Lord Bless you and Keep you. Eugene & Peggy Huerstel
