Goodbye Jan I will always remember your happy face and delightful attitude. In the 50’s when we were growing up we always celebrated Christmas Eve, and Thanksgiving together as families, usually at Grandma Helen’s house. They were always very formal occasions, getting all dressed up in our Sunday best and expected to behave like little adults. Celebrating your birthdays was a lot more fun. We could play at your house like the kids we were. Soon after you got your drivers license on Christmas vacation your Dad allowed you to trailer your two snowmobiles to our house in New Hope. We drove those machines very hard all day long, limping them back on the trailer. It was so much fun, I will never forget. As we grew up our paths didn’t cross as much but one way or another we managed to stay in touch and keep tabs on each other. We were always able to have a good laugh about something. In hind sight a funny experience with Jan and my son. While helping Jan remove furniture from her Mom’s condo we were trapped in the elevator for what seemed like forever. We took turns breathing fresh air from the crack between the doors. This experience got funnier as time passed, at the time, not so much. Your name will be added to a memorial oak tree dedicated to you and your parents planted in Silverwood Park. Thank you Jan for being a part of my life. I will miss you. Your cousin, Randy
